New Moon

New Moon was born out of a love for fine art and fine craftsmanship. Founder John Kurtz, a classically trained painter and rug historian, crafted his vision from the belief that handmade rugs are part of a living chain; from the sheep, to the weavers, to the families who interact with them in the heart of their homes. Now under the leadership of John’s daughter Erika, New Moon continues to set the standard for ethical production and artistic innovation. Using only the finest hand-spun Tibetan wool, Chinese silk, and other natural fibres, Erika and her design team combine the materials in unique and artful ways to allow for an array of wonderful textures, pile heights and extraordinary designs.
